Women's Empowerment:

RDF organized Linkage Workshops on Women's Empowerment Program (WEP) together with stakeholders in Dhanusha district. Legal literacy program for 144 members of women group in 4 VDCs of Dhanusha district supported by The Asia Foundation/PACT Nepal 1996-97. RDF created atmosphere to pressure DDC to allocate budget for women in its Plan. Formation of groups and discussions on issues of SRHR of women and adolescent girls through Swasthya Cahutari (Reproductive Health Forum) with World Education.

Capacity Building:

RDF oriented a Situation analysis/Baseline Survey of Devpura Rupaitha, Bindhi and Basahiya VDCs as groundwork for the formation of Village Development Forum (VDF) and District Development Forum (DDF). RDF coordinated with social sector (Children, Women, Dalit, Janjati, Social Welfare and Social Protection) during formulation of periodic plan of Dhanusha DDC-2003. RDF carried out a study on 'System Analysis' for developing systems in Janakpur Zonal Hospital to make its services for pro-people.
