- Decision making process: The RDF General Assembly is regularly held as per the constitutional arrangements. The RDF follows a participatory approach in decision-making process through holding regular meeting of its board and the meeting of staff members. In each of the GA meeting the RDF holds a public audit of its program and budget providing information to all its members. Comments and feedback from the members are duly considered for improvement in performance.
- Organizational culture and practices: RDF culture and practices are based on democratic norms, defined accountability and transparency systems, role division and definition for staff and organizational members.
The RDF has its long term plan, financial policy procedures, personnel and human resources policy in place and they are effectively being practiced. The RDF considers these policy and strategy documents as evolving. Thus, we are aware of the need of a learning environment in the organization so that learning of the organization can be continually incorporated in these documents and practiced effectively.
Each of the staff members of RDF has got his/her job description based on which they are evaluated for their performance. These job descriptions are updated regularly as per need and based on performance and program requirements.
Monitoring and evaluation is an integral part of RDF organizational culture. RDF strongly believes in continual reflection and corrective actions. Hence, it holds reflection meeting among staff members on program activities regularly. Similarly, on the part of organizational members, it holds self-reflection/evaluation sessions to monitor and evaluate organizational performance during the General Assembly and Board meetings.
In addition to these, community reflection on program activities are done with target groups and also with key stakeholders such as VDC/ DDC/ Municipality representatives, line agency officers/staff members and local media people.
